I hope you will have a wonderful holiday season (if you celebrate christmas). It has been snowing like crazy here in Finland. I was just out making some snowlanterns and shoveling snow. I love this time of the year! I also know that I am going to be very happy with the gifts I am going to get. How do I know that? Well, I bought myself something I really wanted. Something that will bring me joy for the whole year of 2010. What is it? A James Dean calendar. I love those classical black/white or sepia “old filmstar style” photographs.
In Finland christmas eve (that is the 24th) is the main christmas day. On the evening of the 24th santa will come and give us our little gifts. Or, as it is a custom in our family, he’ll just leave a present bag at the door. He’s such a busy man ;)

Honestly you right, isn’t a “fun game” to toy with other people’s feelings. I think that toying with people’s feelings are some of the things that lead people to kill themself and others and develops low self esteem and a lot of stuff like that.

I don’t have many Christmas traditions really. I remember when I was younger, my mother, sisters and I would go to my grandmother’s house. We’d have to each read a scripture out of the Bible before opening our presents. It was okay but Christmas has definitely changed for me.

With my family we always open our gifts on Christmas eve, so I guess for us as well the 24th is the “main day”. The 25th is when the family gets together for a nice dinner.. mmm lol. I hope you had a great Christmas! :)

I like your Christmas tradition there. We open most of our things on Christmas Eve and make a big deal out of Christmas Eve as well. It’s just how my family does it haha.

I wish it snowed out here in Louisiana. Just a few days ago, it was about 65-70 degrees. SOMETIMES it snows. However, it usually dries up in the morning.
